Welcome To CrossFit Bullseye

Jeff Scott:

What brought you to CrossFit in the first place?

I was stuck in a rut of spending an hour in the gym every day and never really feeling like I was “in-shape”.  The boredom of doing the same thing every day was keeping me from pushing myself.

What was your first impression? How has that changed?

My first two days I was asking myself what in the hell I had gotten myself into.  It was a very humbling experience because I had thought I was in decent shape.  I was also apprehensive of a group workout setting because I had been working out on my own for so long.  Almost  4 years later, I am still challenged on a daily basis, and I can’t imagine going back to solo workouts.

What was your first “bright spot”?

The light started to come on about 2 weeks into CF when I started to learn to be comfortable being outside of my comfort zone.

What are you working on now?

One of the great things about CF is that you are never allowed to become complacent with your abilities. There is always room for improvement.  I am working on my form and flexibility on a daily basis.

What’s your favorite Bullseye memory?”

My favorite CF memories involve our yearly Memorial Day Murph event.  It is always a great experience to come together with your friends and sweat it out for a great cause.  This also always involves a get together afterwards where we all get to hang out away from the gym.

Randy Smith:

What brought you to CrossFit in the first place?

The desire to be healthy, fit and prepared physically to preform tasks around the house.

What was your first impression? How has that changed?

I was apprehensive but, and it is discussed much, the community around CrossFit was supportive, accepting of who I was and where I am in my stage of life.

What was your first “bright spot”?

Squat Cleans, man...nailing those with heavier weight was awesome

What are you working on now?

Maintaining momentum in spite of life's detours. I do not like being away from the gym but sometimes I just can't help and understanding it will be ok

What’s your favorite Bullseye memory?”

My first Murph with CFBullseye and the Coach giving us all a coin. I had arrived

I'll be adding these in as I work on our website.

Sasha Jones:

What brought you to CrossFit in the first place?

A Groupon. I heard about it and wanted to try it. Got bored at the regular gym.

What was your first impression? How has that changed?

Damn, look at all these strong people. I wonder if I can ever get there. Now I am one of those strong persons. I am proud.

What was your first “bright spot”?

Completing Murph Challenge in the nick of time, This showed progress because I am not a strong runner.

What are you working on now? Have to keep working on double unders and rope climb because it is kicking my butt to a point where it is a mental set back.

What’s your favorite Bullseye memory?” Any of the socials.
